Denise Maffei

Denise Z. Maffei, 60, of Essington, Pa passed away peacefully at Taylor Hospice on May 29, 2019. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt and friend who had a love for life and the simple things it had to offer. When she wasn't practicing her piano or working on a craft she could be found on the beaches of Ocean City, Maryland enjoying a blue drink, crabs, family and good friends. She would spend hours walking the shorelines on the hunt for her "elusive sea glass" or sitting by a bonfire surrounded by loved ones. Denise had a heart as big as the ocean, a smile as bright as the sun and will truly be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Live every moment, laugh every day, love beyond words. Denise was predeceased by her beloved husband Joseph N. Maffei and father John Zmijewski. She is survived by her loving mother Dorothy Zmijewski (nee Gillon), adoring children Jacqueline Maffei (Jason Ruditys), Allison Betts (Kyle), Thomas Maffei and cherished sister Dianne Zmijewski. Family and friends are invited to Visitation with the family 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM Tuesday June 4, 2019 at The Knoetgen-Donohue Funeral Home 746 Kedron Ave. Morton, Pa 19070 followed by her 1:00 PM Funeral Service.
