Helen Gordon

Helen M. Gordon, 97, passed away on April 15, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Wayne and Alice "Bertha" (nee Murphy) Mease. She is also predeceased by her brother Harold. Helen was a lifelong resident of Ridley Township. She was employed by Suburban Consumer Discount Co in Darby for 32 years before her retirement in 1984. Helen was a feisty little lady and independent all of her life. She loved her home and her sports, especially tennis of which she played herself as a young girl. She was quite the local historian at heart and knew so many stories about all of the local landmarks. Helen was a sharp dresser in her day; somewhat of a clothes horse wearing only the best to work every day. She was one classy lady. Rest in peace "Mousy Mease". You will be missed. Helen is survived by 2 nephews, Harold and Joseph and many friends. In lieu of flowers donations in Helen's name to Providence Animal Center 555 Sandy Bank Rd. Media, Pa 19063 would be appreciated. Graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Friday April 20, 2018 at Chester Rural Cemetery 412 W. 15th St. Chester, Pa 19013
